General

  • Discard the white lock washer from the attachment bolt, this is for shipping purposes only.
  • GEN-II rest adjustments are made using a 3/32 inch hex wrench. Attach rest to bow using supplied 5/16-24 fastener.
  • DO NOT USE LOC-TITE - All adjustments employ lock screws and will not loosen or move.
  • All Schaffer GEN-II rests can be converted to fall-away or conventional shoot though with the appropriate parts kit available from your dealer.

Drop-away setup

  • Attach loose end of rope to buss cable using serving material.
  • Rope should be flush with the bottom of bow grip.
  • Tie in approximately 1 inch of the rope using a series of overhand knots finished with a double overhand knot.
  • Cut ends of serving material so you have approximately 3/8 inch remaining.
  • Carefully melt the 3/8 inch ends of serving material into your final knot.
  • Loosen rope adjustment screw and pull rope tight so all excess rope is above the rest.
  • Keeping the rope adjustment screw loose, bring the bow to full draw and carefully back to the relaxed position.
  • Pull the adjustment rope towards the front of the bow approximately 1/2 inch and tighten the rope adjustment screw.
  • Check to make sure launcher prongs are all the way up 1 inch before bow reaches full draw, adjust as needed to achieve specified results.
  • Shooting with the odd vane “up” provides maximum clearance.
